Transmas Pump - Desludging / Re-suspension
The Tank Farm Services Ltd Transmas Pump is the largest single stage progressive cavity pump in the world, capable of pumping 430 cubic metres per hour. It can handle large diameter solids and with the added advantage of being able to pump in forward or reverse.
The pump is equipped with a macerator designed to reduce the viscosity of materials high in sludge and able to break up any large solid matter prior to entering the pump.
The Transmas Pump can provide pumping solutions for many applications including, re-suspension of tank bottom sludge, redistribution of hydrocarbons, tank bottom sludge removal, lagoon sludge removal, interceptor sludge removal, sewage sludge removal etc.
The five meter long pump requires 80kw of absorbed power, this is achieved using 110kw of drive power from a six cylinder diesel engine, coupled to a torque converter and reduction gearbox.
The Transmas Pump can be hired, supplied as a contracted service, for specific situations or is available for purchase, designed to meet individual requirements.
